Aisling bea, who was born in Kildare Ireland on 16 March 1984, is one of the wealthiest and most well-known comic. The comedian has appeared featured on QI, alongside Stephen Fry. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan (born 16 March 1984), better known as Aisling Bea is a popular Irish actress writer and comedian. Bea started her professional career in stand-up comedy in 2011, following small parts she played on Irish and British television dramas from 2009. Following 2012, she was appearing in sketch comedy shows, sitcoms, and other similar programming. In 2012, after winning an award at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards she began to be booked regularly for various panel shows where she has become a fixture. She's been part of 8 Out of 10 Cats since 2016, and she's one of the most popular contestants on its spinoff 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Parents include Brian O'Sullivan and Helen O'Sullivan. She has one younger sister, Sinead. In 2012 she became the only woman in history to be awarded the So You Believe you're Funny award. Bea's surname is in honour of her late father. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan was born in Kildare town County Kildare on 16 March 1984. The father of her Brian was an equine veterinarian who died at the age of three. Bea was just three years old though she did not know what happened to him until she turned 13 years old. The stage name she chose was Bea to honor her late father. Bea also published an article published in The Guardian on her family's death experience. Bea was raised with her sister Sinead by Helen Moloney. Helen is a secondary teacher, jockey trainer and a former professional racer. Their family was horse and race meeting obsessed. Bea began her career as a tour guide at the Irish National Stud. However, she realized early on that the race industry wasn't the right fit for her.
