Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson born to British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby & Chris Watson in Paris, France. As a child, she went to at the Dragon School in Oxfordshire. Emma was just six when she made the decision to be an actor. She trained for several years at Stagecoach Theatre Arts, a part time theatre school in Oxford where she was taught acting and singing. Through a school play as well as a Stagecoach show, she was her role as lead actress at 10 and performed. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) was the film adaptation from J.K. Rowlings bestselling novel was filmed for the very first time back in the year 1999. Emma was found by casting agents via Emma's Oxford theater teacher. David Heyman told Emma along with Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliffe after having 8 consecutive auditions. Emma's film debut came with the release of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2002). It was the year's top earning film, smashing records during the opening day and first weekend. Reviewers praised the film, particularly the young performers. The Daily Telegraph praised Emma for her performance. Emma later won five awards to honor her role in the film.
